The 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund provides compensation to any victim suffering a physical illness or injury due to their involvement or presence on 9/11 or its aftermath. Our legal team at Jacob Fuchsberg will register you with the VCF to preserve your right to file a claim now or in the future. Registration safeguards your ability to do so if you fall ill from 9/11 exposure.
The World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) provides free lifetime healthcare and medical monitoring to 9/11 victims for 9/11-related cancers and other illnesses if you don’t have other medical coverage. Victims will not receive financial compensation from this health care program.
Any person within the NYC Exposure Zone on or after 9/11 and has developed cancer or another illness related to toxic dust or debris is eligible to apply to the VCF.
Claims are reviewed in "first in, first out" order based on the date the claim is fully submitted. From the time your claim is submitted, we're currently seeing 18-24 months waiting period to process a claim.
You did not have to have been present on 9/11 to qualify for compensation.
